Prairie Wind and Prairie Dogs

There are no people where I am standing, but there are plenty of other living things.

The little Prairie Dogs for example.

They’re instant comedy—running from my car when they hear it, diving into their burrows.

Then, popping their little heads up to check again.

I can hear their whistling to each other within their colonies.

Sorry to be anthropomorphic, but they’re so dang cute!
