PROUD OF MY SONS AND MY SON-IN-LAW
My two sons, Ben and Spell, and my son-in-law, Tyler, have shown me that young men today have really stepped up.
Both Ben and Spell participated in the births of their children, and Tyler has been an amazing champ for Jamila’s birthing. How many women my age know that our mothers were on their own in the birthing rooms? They may have had good doctors and good nurses, but they usually did not have their husbands in the room with them. It’s wonderful to see these young men learning all the facets of child birth; they participate with their wives and partners through the whole process.
